Frequently Asked Questions:

At what age should my child see the dentist?

Our office follows the American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry guidelines which
recommends the first dental visit at age one.

Why should we fix baby teeth, they are going to fall out anyways?

There are many reasons to fix baby teeth. Here is one of them. Children start losing teeth at about age 6 years till age 12 years. Once cavities start, they only get bigger and cause infection of teeth, gums and even jaw bones. If cavities don't get fixed, they can have serious consequences. For instance, pain, swelling and even damage to the adult teeth. Sometimes it can be devastating. Do you remember the child that died of a dental infection in Maryland?

• Did you know that 90% of children's cavities can be prevented?

• Children who have their first dental visit at age one have 40% lower dental cost in their first five years of life.
